She works collaboratively with patients and their healthcare teams to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that reflect the whole person.

Dr. McLafferty's clinical interests include anxiety and depressive disorders, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause-related mood and anxiety symptoms, and psychiatric symptoms occurring alongside complex medical conditions. Why This Practice Exists

This practice was created to provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults navigating reproductive, hormonal, medical, and life transitions. Too often, mental health concerns are separated from the physical, hormonal, and life circumstances that shape them.

This practice is built on the belief that effective psychiatric care requires careful listening, thorough evaluation, and an understanding of the many factors that influence emotional well-being. Treatment recommendations are individualized and may incorporate medication management, lifestyle considerations, collaboration with therapists and other healthcare professionals, and attention to the broader context of each patient's life.

Dr. McLafferty's goal is to provide clear recommendations, continuity of care, and a therapeutic relationship grounded in both scientific evidence and respect for each patient's lived experience.
